A FRAMES
A-frames are designed for offshore load handling, subsea lifting operations and the launch or recovery of special tools and equipment. MELCAL A-frames can be supplied with a hydraulic power pack, radio remote control, telescopic legs and additional wire sheaves.
MELCAL offers certification by major classification societies and various degrees of customization to ensure compliance with the operational requirements and expectations of our clients.

BRACKET CRANES
Just like overhead and gantry cranes, bracket cranes (also known as wall-mounted travelling cranes) are effective ways to increase process reliability and productivity in enclosed spaces. Bracket cranes move horizontally along runways arranged over each other. The boom of the bracket crane sits at a 90° angle to the runway.
Wall cranes are needed where overhead cranes cannot be installed or where existing overhead cranes need to be enhanced with wall crane add-ons as part of complex, multi-layered workflows.

CARGO AND PERSONNEL LIFTING WINCHES
MELCAL’s electric or hydraulic winches can operate in the most demanding environments and are typically applied for lifting and pulling applications, including onshore pull-ins and subsea operations. A compact design guarantees versatility for different applications. Our winches are delivered with adjustable line pull settings, fully tested and ready for installation.
MELCAL supplies man-riding winches, featuring a secondary brake, to comply with the rules and regulations for personnel lifting.
cherry picker cranes
MELCAL MCP cherry pickers allow for maintenance operations and inspections in hard-to-reach areas. Typically, our cherry pickers are applied for offshore stabbing operations, as well as for personnel lifts and general cargo handling operations. Cherry pickers can be installed near moon-pools, on derricks and skidding systems.
MCP cherry pickers can be certified by all major classification societies and can be customized with a full range of accessories to comply with different operational requirements

containerized cranes
When clients prefer to change the location of lifting appliances onboard or intend to share equipment among multiple vessels, special emphasis is put on quick (de)mobilization and intermodal transport.
MELCAL builds foldable knuckle telescopic boom cranes with an offshore working skid, suitable for quick deployment on deck, horizontal stowage and transport of the complete assembly inside a standard 20 foot container.

container Spreaders
We provide a spreader solution for every requirement and type of terminal. Every spreader that we offer – ship-to-shore (STS) spreaders, yard crane spreaders and mobile harbour crane (MHC) spreaders – are available as single- or twin-lift versions.
DAVIT CRANES
MELCAL delivers a range of compact electric davit cranes made with high-quality components and seawater resistant materials to ensure excellent operational performance, reliability and a long service life.
Our fully electric DL davit cranes are designed to transfer spare parts and materials between offshore wind platforms and supply vessels. MELCAL davits can also be found onboard modern cruise vessels. Their high quality NORSOK M501 coating system, hot dip galvanized structural bolts and IP66/67 rated electrical components offer high levels of protection against corrosive environments.
Davits from FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH are either completely fixed in place or there is one hoisting device, or just like telescopic cranes, they have just one direction of travel with additional flexibility through a travelling trolley or additional telescopic arm. Unlike telescopic cranes, however, they are used only outdoors instead of at transition points between the outdoors and indoors, or indoors between two rooms. For this reason, they need to be installed with a base connection to the site foundation. Unlike slewing jib cranes, davits cannot be additionally rotated. FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH offers davits either individually or as a two-davit system solution.
Davits are primarily used to lower tenders, rescue boats and submarines as well as life rafts on vessels, but they can also be used on offshore platforms or building complexes to transport spare parts, work equipment and maintenance platforms, etc.

ELECTRIC & HYDRAULIC ANCHOR WINDLASSES
Hydraulic windlass systems offer a distinct set of advantages that make them a preferred choice in the maritime industry. The robust nature of hydraulic power translates to substantial lifting capabilities, ensuring that hydraulic windlasses can handle heavier loads and anchor chains with ease. This strength is particularly advantageous for larger vessels, where the need for greater power and control is essential.
Notable features of the electric windlass are their user-friendliness, offering easy installation and operation, making them suitable for a broad spectrum of vessels, including smaller craft. Electric windlasses are known for their quiet and smooth performance, significantly reducing noise and vibrations during anchor operations, enhancing onboard comfort.
ELECTRIC & HYDRAULIC MOORING WINCHES
These robust systems are engineered to handle heavy loads and anchor lines with exceptional efficiency. One of the main benefits of hydraulic mooring winches is their capability to deliver high pulling power, making them well-suited for demanding applications in offshore environments. Their durability and reliability are noteworthy, ensuring consistent performance even under extreme conditions.
Electric mooring winches are well-regarded in the maritime and offshore industry for their unique set of advantages. These winches are celebrated for their user-friendly installation and operation, catering to a wide range of vessel types and sizes. Their operation is notably quiet and smooth, reducing onboard noise and vibrations, enhancing crew comfort during anchor handling.
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC & DIESEL-HYDRAULIC POWER UNITS (HPU)
MELCAL’s stand-alone electro-hydraulic and diesel driven power units are designed for handling equipment on land and offshore. Our power units feature a robust space saving design and a local control panel with an emergency stop button. MELCAL HPUs are supplied with lifting points for safe handling according to DNV 2.7 and with a certified lifting rig.
Our diesel driven HPUs feature modern engines to meet the latest NOx emission standards. MELCAL offers various degrees of customization by drawing upon an extensive range of options and accessories, including those required to certify power units for operations in ATEX zones or environmentally sensitive areas.

FISH FEED UNLOADERS
MELCAL fish feed unloaders feature an articulated boom with a fully integrated conveyor system to efficiently deliver fish food to fish farming barges. The fish feed unloader delivers up to 200 tons of dry pellets per hour to fish farms via an elevator connected to the storage tanks onboard the transport vessel.
A tiltable, telescopic pipe is mounted on the boom tip, enabling operators to accurately position the pipe over the tank hatch.
gangways
FUCHS Fördertechnik GmbH designs and manufactures custom gangways (also called passarelles) needed on the side or back of a vessel ship based on customer requirements, with appropriate desired features, such as an extension, rotary drive, inclination, railing system, lighting and teak flooring
grabs
Crane Today offers grabs with a capacity of up to 60 cubic meters for a wide range of applications. The working areas of our grabs range from ports, transshipment companies, crane and construction machinery manufacturers to steel mills or recycling companies to waste incineration plants. We offer mechanical, motor-controlled, hydraulic or electrohydraulic grabs subject to the bulk materials handled.
HYDRAULIC ANCHORING & TOWING WINCHES
One of the key strengths of these systems is their unrivalled power and performance, designed to handle heavy towing operations with ease. Hydraulic winches offer exceptional control and reliability, making them a dependable choice for the safe and precise management of towing operations.
roof cranes
MELCAL MRC roof cranes are typically installed in confined areas and vessel hangars for handling big bags and zodiacs. Roof cranes are designed to leave ample clearance and indoor lifting height and can be fitted with a slew bearing for increased manoeuvrability.
A winch or simple hoist with manual, hydraulic or electric extensions can be applied to increase their reach. Depending on the MRC’s application and our client’s requirements, we offer certification by major classification societies and a range of accessories to allow for specific configurations.
